My name is Roel Kuiper ("Rule Ky-per"–it's Dutch). Photography has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. I caught the fever when looking through the viewfinder of my dad's Olympus OM-2 camera and seeing my subject (my sister, on a vacation on Maui) framed so clearly and perfectly. From then on, photography was to be a part of my life in some form or another. It wasn't until later in life that I began to revisit the passion more seriously. I enrolled in numerous photography classes at UCLA and began assisting established photographers to learn the craft. I have a soft spot for architectural forms and interiors, so therefore I have been specializing in architectural and interior photography, but I also enjoy landscape, fine art and lifestyle shooting.
